General PTA Questions
What is the PTA?
The Canyon Rim Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit volunteer organization that brings together parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success and build strong school communities.
Do I have to volunteer if I join?
No! Membership does not require volunteering. While we love help when available, joining is simply a way to show support.
Why should I join the PTA?
Joining the PTA helps you stay connected to your child’s education, build relationships with teachers and other families, be a voice in school decisions, and support programs that enrich students’ experiences.
Can other family members join the PTA?
Absolutely! Grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, and community members are welcome to join and support our mission.
Membership & Meetings
How do I become a member?
What does the membership fee go toward?
Your dues support programs, student enrichment activities, teacher appreciation, school events, and more.
Can I attend meetings if I'm not a member?
Yes, everyone is welcome to attend! However, only members are permitted to speak or vote on PTA business.
What is the cost to join the PTA?
Individual Memberships are currently $12.50, Family Memberships are $20 and Silent Memberships (No Emails) are $30.
When and where are the PTA meetings held?
Meetings are typically held once per month, on a Thursday beginning between 5:00 and 6:00 PM in the school library. Check our calendar HERE for exact dates.
Volunteering and Involvement
How can I volunteer?

I have limited time- can I still help?
Yes! Even small contributions—like sending supplies, helping for 30 minutes at an event, or sharing ideas—make a big difference.

How does the PTA raise money?
Through membership dues, fundraisers, sponsorships, and community donations. These funds directly support our students and school.
