A Message from our new PTA President for 2010-2011:
Hi, I'm Thomas Jones. I ran for President of the PTA on the platform of no homework, soda machines in the lunchroom, and 4 hour recess. Unfortunately, now that I've been elected it's pretty obvious none of those things are going to be possible. What we will do as a Board next year is to continue the great tradition of past PTA Boards at Canyon Rim. As a Dad of kids at Canyon Rim since the beginning, I've seen this school grow into a great place to send our children to learn how to succeed. A large part of that credit goes to the active parents who have served and participated in the PTA. Every year we have to build and grow on the past year's experiences. I mean, look at how the Cougarnival has grown through the years. I'm excited for the next year. I'm excited to work with the teachers to help them help our kids. This year is almost over, so a great big thanks goes out to all of the teachers, volunteers, and staff of Canyon Rim. This year was awesome, thanks to you. Next year will be a great one. I look forward to meeting everyone at the back to school nights to kick off the next school year.
